Minister for Civil Aviation meets leaders of Air India unions and associations
May 21, 2012
The Minister for Civil Aviation, Mr Ajit Singh, met the leaders of the various recognised unions and association of Air India today. He emphasied that all employees must maintain peace and harmony to ensure the success of the Turn Around Plan and the Financial Restructuring plan for the revival of the airline.
Air India continues to maintain normal operations of its domestic services. There is no effect on Air India’s domestic operations due to the present agitation by a section of the pilots belonging to the IPG.
To minimize the inconvenience to its international passengers, Air India has extended the contingency schedule announced earlier for its international operations, up to May 25, 2012.
The airline today terminated the services of 30 more pilots who had stayed away from duty by reporting sick.
Passengers are advised to contact Air India helpline 1800 180 1407 or log on to
