Domestic Airport Upgrades - Get Upfront offer

The luxury of sitting in the front cabin at an extremely affordable price is possible, every time one boards a flight from any of the following cities, when flying to a domestic destination on an aircraft that offers Business class service.

Applicable Boarding points:

Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Bagdogra, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Dibrugarh, Dimapur, Goa, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Khajuraho, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Leh, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Raipur, Rajkot, Ranchi, Silchar, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur, Varanasi, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.

'Get Up Front' offer has two payment slabs - Rs.4000 for distances up to 750 Km and Rs.6000 for higher distances to avail the upgrade. Service tax will be applicable at 4.944 percent against code "JN " on all sectors except stations mentioned in the exemption list.

The upgrade at airport is subject to availability of Business class seats and on First Come First Served Basis with physical presence of a guest at the check-in counter. The upgrade is offered till an hour before the departure of a flight.

Air India guests wishing to avail the offer can either pay the upgrade amount at the airport; or better still can come armed with prepaid vouchers issued from an Air India office or through an approved travel agent. Each voucher is issued for a value of Rs.2000. The vouchers, when issued, do not have passenger name written on them (that is filled at the airport on surrender of a voucher) and therefore offer the facility of multiple user.

Guests with Economy class paid tickets - issued in ANY fare class including Apex and concessional fares - are eligible to avail 'Get Up Front' offer. Guests holding FFP award tickets too can avail the upgrade offer. Frequent Flyer mileage points however accrue as per the original booked Fare class only. "Passengers availing airport upgrade scheme will be permitted economy class baggage allowance"

The offer is valid till 30th June 2013.
